HOLDING THE VĀ at Melbourne Fringe Festival (14 – 18 October)

We’re really excited to support a new show by our brother, the amazingly talented Fulisia Asalemo Tofete – a Samoan playwright, director, poet and performer based in Melbourne; and a champion of Pasefika Theatre in Australia.

HOLDING THE VĀ is a fresh, vibrant piece of Pasefika theatre that celebrates the things that matter most — our connections with family, friends, community, and the world we move through (coz this society be tough sometimes!). It’s a reminder of how important it is to look after those relationships and the values that shape who we are.

It’s opening night in a few days’ time and we highly recommend –no, ABSOLUTELY DEMAND that you GO.AND.SEE.THIS.SHOW. The show is funny, it’s calming, it’s musical, it’s poetic, sometimes scary (the actors are), it’s loud and quiet but most of all, it’s relatable and relevant.

So let’s talk business. There are seven sessions. That means: seven opportunities for you to catch the show. Seats are filling up fast so grab your ticket coz you don’t want to miss out right?!

Sessions:

  • Wednesday, 14th Oct | 6.30pm
  • Thursday, 15th Oct | 6.30pm
  • Friday, 16th Oct | 6.30pm
  • Saturday, 17th Oct | 2.00pm & 6.30pm
  • Sunday, 18th Oct | 1.00pm & 5.30pm
