It’s Production week!

It’s an exciting time for PICAA! We enjoyed a cast/crew rehearsal last weekend and it’s looking and sounding great. We’re hustling to get things ready for this weekend when we present our 10th celebration event MUA PASEFIKA THEATRE FESTIVAL at Bowery Theatre in St Albans.

MUA comprises an exciting program of old and new works that include songs from Pasefika Vitoria Choir, Pasefika cultural design and costumes, traditional Samoan tuiga by Tuiga Program students, as well as spoken word pieces, scenes from previous theatre productions and a new play.

Yesterday we posted a cast announcement on our socials, presenting the talented actors/actresses who will feature in our debut of new works ‘VĀ’ (3 movements) and ‘TŪ MAU’. Both works are written and directed by Samoan playwright/director/performer Fulisia Asalemo Tofete and feature a cast of 13 actors.

We can’t wait to showcase the talented performers of our PICAA family and also share 10 years of our work with you all. It’s not too late to grab your ticket! You can buy it here.

See you in a few days!

Team PICAA.
