Our wonderful Pasefika Vitoria Choir was honoured to sing a few Samoan songs for the Victorian premiere of hit movie TINĀ (‘Mother’), directed by Miki Magasiva and starring Anapela Polataivao, and Beulah Koale. The event atrracted almost 1,000 viewers across three cinemas simultaneously – 2 extra cinemas were added to the original screening session thanks to our hosts, Birrarangga Film Festival who hosted Tinā as their closing film – and what a choice!

The hype and excitement around the film has many of our community members asking ‘where’s the next one?!’ so we’re here to tell you that while the movie is yet to officially hit Australian cinemas (scheduled for May 1st), there are a few more preview screenings of Tinā this month! Presented by Pasifika Film Fest, Satiu Studios and Madman Entertainment, see below the dates and venues:

April 11-13th at Village Sunshine Cinemas – Dress in your Sunday best and meet Miki Magasiva and Beulah Koale. There are only a few seats left at these sessions book here.
April 23-27 at various cinemas (see schedule below, purchase tickets here, scroll down the page to see these exact sessions)

We hope to catch you at some of these screenings as we will again be singing for you, our way of celebrating this beautiful and important Samoan/Pacific/New Zealand story.
Support Pacific storytelling, Pacific creative arts and artists – see you soon.

Can’t wait! Everyone here in Australia waiting for it 👍🙏🙏💜
