We are thrilled to announce our new creative residency with Brimbank City Council’s Bowery Theatre in 2023-24. Through this residency, we will develop our newest PICAA initiative – a Pasefika Theatre Festival taking place in 2024. This project will be led by two of our PICAA Creative Associates Asalemo Tofete (Creative Director) and Gina Tafea (Producer). Check out their profiles here. We have two major theatre productions under our belt – ‘Amataga o le Alofa‘ (D.Tuitea, 2016) and ‘ReHavaiki‘ (A.Tofete/R.Seumanutafa-Palala, 2017). These productions were created, directed and produced by our PICAA team and our many PICAA family members – a testament to the talent and passion within our community.

In a few days time, we will be posting a call-out to community to join us in this exciting project. We will be looking for cast and crew members – actors, musicians, dancers, stagehands etc – if you want to take part in another exciting PICAA theatre project, then be sure to follow our facebook, instagram and tiktok pages so you don’t miss out on announcements.
