INAUGURAL EVENT:
In May 2024 we hosted our inaugural MUA: Pasefika Theatre Festival, an event in partnership with Creative Brimbank – Brimbank City council. This event is created and developed by Fulisia Asalemo Tofete.
After 5 months of mentoring and developing works created and written by local Melbourne talent, MUA showcased theatre works such as:
“Malaga Fafine” choreography and artistic direction by Asalemo Tofete, Steve Tafea and Sanele Savea
“Tala Pasifika” written and performed by Rex Pelman
“Our Truth For Now” written by Luana Omeri-Tofete
“Ki Iku Fa” written and performed by Steve Tafea, music composition and production by Steve Tafea and Frank Leati
