2026 programs

Pasefika Vitoria Choir

(MUSIC)

Led by Dr. Rita Seumanutafa-Palala and Lelili’o Steve Tafea, we rehearse on Sunday evenings in the western suburbs of Melbourne. We invite committed and passionate singers to join us as we learn to read music notation and develop choral singing technique and sound. We offer a busy year of performances and music opportunities to promote Pasefika music so if you can commit to weekly rehearsals and our performance schedule, then contact us for more info. Rehearsals start in mid-January 2026.

Spirit of Pasefika

(MUSIC, DANCE AND CULTURAL ARTS)

Every year we call-out to Pasefika community members, families, youth and children to join us in showcasing Pasefika cultural arts to the wider Melbourne community. The City of Melbourne’s Moomba Festival is an opportunity to proudly represent our individual island nations. We will schedule 2 x rehearsals for everyone to familiarise themselves with the songs/movements required for our segment this year. If you’re keen to represent your culture in March 2026, then get in touch with us asap via this page. Rehearsals commence in mid-February – bring your family!

MUA Festival

(THEATRE, MUSIC, DANCE AND CULTURAL ARTS)

To celebrate 10 years of PICAA we are showcasing our talented artists with a 2-show season! In February, we will partner with Bowery Theatre and Creative Brimbank to bring audiences an array of musical, cultural and theatrical works that highlight the brilliant minds of the creatives behind PICAA. If you’re keen to join us on stage, then submit your EOI by Jan 10th via this form. Following MUA, we will have more opportunities for performers so be sure to sign up and stay in touch for event coming up this year. MUA is directed by our Head of Theatre Fulisia Asalemo Tofete.
